International Women's Day

With themes including think equal, build smart, innovate for change as well as a campaign for #BalanceforBetter, we think it is the perfect time to talk about these issues within academia.

“Balance is not a women's issue, it's a business issue; the race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, a gender-balance of employees,”

according to the International Women’s Day website. “Gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.”

Yet in the academic community, the lack of balance has been highlighted by not only media but accreditation bodies, and students. FaculTea is a co-created community built around tea time for women: a space for authentic conversation about how to harness our individual and collective strengths to share strategies for career acceleration.

How can you get involved?
